Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. Cancellation Policy

1.1 You may cancel your booking with Taxiwaala at any time before the scheduled pick-up date and time by calling our 24/7 Customer Care helpline at 9494-125-353. If you cancel after receiving the driver and/or car details, a cancellation fee will apply.

1.2 No cancellation fee will be incurred unless Taxiwaala confirms the cancellation of your ride in accordance with the terms of use and this Cancellation and Refund Policy.

1.3 Cancellation Fees:

1.3.1 You can cancel a booking request free of charge if driver or car details have not yet been provided.

1.3.2 If a booking is canceled after the driver and/or car details have been provided, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to the full advance amount paid for the booking.

1.3.3 Drivers have the right to cancel a ride request if they have waited for 45 minutes at the pick-up location. Additionally, if you have provided incorrect pick-up location details or are unreachable through the contact information you provided, you may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the full advance amount paid or be charged as follows after 45 minutes: Rs. 3.5 per minute for hatchback/Sedan cars, Rs. 4 per minute for SUV/Innova cars, and Rs. 10 per minute for Tempo travelers, at Taxiwaala’s discretion.

1.3.4 If cancellation occurs due to unavoidable external factors—such as epidemics, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, fires, strikes, lockouts, industrial disturbances, war, terrorist acts, riots, or similar events—Taxiwaala may issue a voucher for the full advance amount paid, valid for future use without expiration.

2. Refund Policy

2.1 Refunds will be processed in accordance with this Cancellation and Refund Policy and may take 7 to 10 business days to reflect in your account. Taxiwaala is not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from incorrect banking or account details provided by you.

2.2 You may receive vouchers without expiration for future use at Taxiwaala’s discretion in the following scenarios:

2.2.1 If the assigned driver cancels the ride last minute without a valid reason, and Taxiwaala fails to arrange another ride promptly, you will receive a voucher for the full advance amount paid.

2.2.2 If the vehicle breaks down during your trip and Taxiwaala or the driver fails to rectify the issue within a reasonable timeframe, you will receive a voucher for the full advance amount paid.

2.2.3 In cases of cancellation due to unavoidable external factors, as previously described, a voucher for the full advance amount paid will be issued for future use at Taxiwaala’s discretion.

2.2.4 If you wish to change the type of vehicle, adjust trip duration, or make corrections to your itinerary, you must notify Taxiwaala in advance. After receiving confirmation from Taxiwaala, you will be provided a voucher for the full advance amount paid.

2.3 Taxiwaala is not responsible for refunds or vouchers for any amounts given to the driver beyond what is specified in the invoice. Taxiwaala will not be liable for any damages incurred from such transactions.

2.4 Taxiwaala is not liable for any loss or damage occurring during the ride due to the actions of the driver, who is a third-party service provider. However, Taxiwaala will assist you in recovering any loss or damage to the best of our ability.

2.5 Taxiwaala reserves the right to withhold the full advance amount paid for your booking in cases of misconduct towards the driver, whether physical, verbal, or mental. Taxiwaala also reserves the right to pursue legal action against you, jointly or severally with the driver, as permitted by applicable law at the time of the incident.
